	November 28, 2007 Oregon Art Beat features Don MacLane Portland artist, Don MacLane holds BA and MFA degrees in Sculpture from Antioch College and the University of Oregon. But it was his experience as a steel fabricator and his degree in mechanical engineering that gave him the skills that he now uses in his kinetic sculptures and the experimental musical instruments that he builds.
